In Our Congregation
We value our many volunteers who share their time and talents as an expression of their Christian faith; they are essential to getting things done! We’d love to help you find a way to participate according to your interests and availability. Opportunities to serve and connect with others at BMPC include:
Occasional – drive someone to appointment, assist at a memorial reception, make a casserole, help to decorate the sanctuary for Easter, make costumes for a production, join our Common Ground Garden Initiative Group, lead a craft project at summer camp, help with sales for the Advent Gift Market, bake cookies.
Sundays – teach Sunday School, arrange flowers for deacon delivery, serve as an usher during worship, sing in a choir, greet at a Sanctuary door, help to prepare and clean up communion trays, direct cars in our parking lot, provide snacks for coffee hour.
Weekdays – help with our evening tutoring program, participate in a prayer group, serve as the church receptionist, help in the library, stock the pew racks in the Sanctuary, serve as a choir parent.
Monthly – help plan programs by serving on a committee such as Youth Ministry Council, Environmental Justice Committee, Senior Adult Council, Worldwide Ministries Council, or Fine Arts Council; knit or crochet items for children; help at a casserole blitz in our kitchen.
