Fellowship and Fitness

BMPC offers fitness classes to help you feel better, look better, and meet new friends. Review the schedule and pick one that’s right for you. Feel free to call the church office at 610-525-2821 to confirm location and time.  

DanceFit: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:30-10:30 a.m., $5 per class. This is a high-energy, dance-based class choreographed for non-dancers. Designed for all fitness levels, it includes muscle toning and aerobics. Instructor Carol Haldy has been teaching this class with enthusiasm and dedication for more than 25 years. 

Repose Yoga: Tuesdays, September - May, 9:00–10:15 a.m., Gym. Donations accepted to help the BMPC hunger fund. Karen Gagnier is our experienced instructor.

Tai Chi: Tuesdays, 10:30-11:45 a.m., Gym. This 90-minute moving meditation complements all styles of exercise. Benefits include stress reduction, arthritis management, and balance and coordination enhancement. First class is free, then $20 per class or $150 for 10 weeks (10 classes). Rich McKenzie is our experienced instructor.

Walk for Life: Walk More, Live Better! On hiatus until Spring 2017, Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m., no cost. Walking is a surprisingly effective strategy for lifelong health. We walk for 45-50 minutes around the BMPC neighborhood, starting in the church’s back parking lot. This will get your blood pumping, strengthen major muscle groups, and get fresh air into your lungs.

Senior Exercise Class. Thursdays, 11:00 a.m., Gym. 45-minute exercise program designed for older adults. Participants use weights, bands & balls for strength training along with aerobic & flexibility exercises. Bring water bottle, and small hand weights. First class is free, $10 for every four classes. The class is adapted for the individual's fitness level & abilities.
