This solo exhibition brings together works of gouache on canvas and oil on stainless steel, centered around the theme of reflections, both literal and emotional.

The imagery for the series began with reflections captured in the mirrored stainless-steel surfaces of street vendor carts near Ground Zero on September 11, 2001. From those fragmented and distorted images grew a body of work that explores the explosions, the chaos, and the immediate aftermath of that day through memory, abstraction, and personal experience. The exhibition is also deeply rooted in Bob’s own experience exiting the South Tower on 9/11 and living through the events that followed.  

“Reflections” speaks not only to mirrored surfaces, but to the cathartic process of surviving and remembering. The works move between explosive reflected imagery, large-scale abstract oil paintings on stainless steel, and smaller collage-like compositions, creating a visual language shaped by resilience and the passage of time. Presented in gouache on canvas and oil on stainless steel, the exhibition invites viewers into a layered meditation on memory, perception, and survival, where reflections become both physical images and emotional echoes of a moment that changed countless lives forever.
