Lenten Organ Series
Lenten Organ Series
Tuesdays, February 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16, 23 | noon | Chapel
Free and open to the public.
Join us during the season of Lent for a special series of noontime organ recitals performed on BMPC’s Chapel organ. Renowned for its rich orchestral colors—evoking instruments such as oboe, clarinet, and tuba—along with a wide array of scintillating string combinations and the grandeur of “all the stops,” this versatile instrument, rebuilt by the Petty Madden Organ Company in 1995 and renovated in 2021, perfectly adapts to a diverse repertoire.
These Tuesday recitals offer a peaceful midday escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, inviting listeners to pause, reflect, and be refreshed through music. Whether you are familiar with organ music or new to the instrument’s unique voice, the Lenten Organ Series provides a meaningful and inspiring musical experience throughout the season.
