Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble Concerts

Friday, October 9, February 12, April 30
7:00 p.m. | Sanctuary

Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church welcomes the Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble for a season of exceptional chamber music featuring some of Philadelphia’s finest musicians.

Founded as the oldest continuously performing chamber ensemble in Philadelphia and the only chamber group in residence in Society Hill, the Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble brings together distinguished performers from the region’s vibrant musical community. Under the direction of John Koen, the ensemble includes current and retired members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, many of whom also serve as faculty members at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Esther Boyer School of Music at Temple University.

New this year, BMPC is pleased to host the ensemble’s Friday concerts, offering our community the opportunity to experience these remarkable musicians in our own Sanctuary.

This season’s concerts celebrate the rich tradition of chamber music through a thoughtful blend of familiar masterpieces and lesser-known works. Programs will feature music by composers including Mozart, Debussy, and Schumann, alongside compelling works by contemporary American women composers, highlighting both the enduring legacy and evolving voice of chamber music.

Join us for an inspiring season of artistry, collaboration, and musical discovery.

All are welcome.
