Come & Sing Fauré Requiem
Saturday, March 13
Sanctuary
Composed in the late 1880s, Gabriel Fauré's Requiem remains a foundational work in the choral repertory, setting the text from the Requiem Mass for the Dead with lyrical, powerful, and sublime melodies and harmonies.
We invite you to join us for this "Come and Sing" event. A rehearsal at 1:00 pm led by James Kealey, Director of Music & Fine Arts, will be followed by a brief talk about the piece before presenting this work in the context of a Worship Service at 4:00 p.m., in which we invite you to submit names of those whom you have loved and lost, as we read aloud their names in the service.
Registration is required to sing; scores will be provided.
