As a Presbyterian minister and licensed family therapist, Mary is uniquely qualified to serve as our Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care and Senior Adults. She has served three churches, been a hospice and hospital chaplain, and has an extensive background in providing direct counseling care and coordinating ministries of care.
Mary has a love of stories and is passionate about inviting people to share their stories, especially as related to spiritual growth. Her ministry and counseling have given her “a front row seat to the best of the human spirit.” Mary likes to say, “The Holy Spirit always stirs the pot and, if we are wise, we pay attention to the ripples.”
Mary lived in Racine, Wisconsin and enjoyed a thriving counseling practice at The Therapy House. She was eager to return to a church and is excited to being part of a vibrant pastoral team and serving the congregation at BMPC. Mary is mother to two adult children, Miranda and Matt, and enjoys books, movies, theater, travel, nature, lattes, pie and Pilates.
Mary joined the BMPC pastoral staff in May 2017.
