We are excited to welcome your child to the nursery. In this first experience of church, the safety and care of your children is our utmost priority. Our staff shares an ability to safely love and nurture your children in our specially designed nursery rooms in the Education Building.
You will find more information about the Nursery in the Nursery Handbook.
What age groups are allowed in the nursery? This varies by family and circumstance. While we provide childcare for all ages, our nursery space is designed to meet the developmental needs of infants (typically three months and older)- four-year-olds.
What do I need to bring? We ask that children arrive with any needed diapering supplies and potentially a change of clothes. We provide simple snacks (puffs, goldfish, etc.), and nursery staff will communicate with you regarding food.
How am I contacted if there is an emergency? You may leave contact information (e.g., cellphone) with our staff so we can easily reach you in an emergency.
What Health and Safety Standards do you follow? Our paid nursery staff all complete CPR and infant first aid training, ongoing professional development, and comprehensive background checks. Any volunteers are similarly vetted. The nursery follows best practices for health and safety as defined by the Montgomery County Health Department and professional Early Childhood organizations.
What happens in the nursery? The nursery follows an age-appropriate curriculum, welcoming children to a life of faith. We play together, share a snack, listen to stories, sing, dance, and create.
