Where friendships bloom, individuality is celebrated, and potential is achieved in a supportive learning community.
Preschoolers on the Main Line have been discovering the joy of learning at the Weekday School since it was founded in 1963. Because preschool-age children learn best by engaging with their environment through play-based activities and hands-on lessons, the Weekday School at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church provides an interactive, child-based educational model. Learning is accomplished through carefully planned, fun-filled activities, each designed with specific educational goals in mind.
The Weekday School offers 3-day and 5-day programs for children ages two years and seven months to 5 years old. The curriculum is theme-based, providing children with opportunities to explore a wide variety of topics while developing a love of learning and the skill set necessary for success in their academic careers. Throughout the day, the children’s activities are carefully designed to help them grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Students enjoy weekly yoga classes and music and movement classes taught by Mrs. Judy Potter, a certified yoga instructor and music educator.
Full-day programs supplement the regular curriculum with enrichment opportunities. These include the S.T.E.M. curriculum, literature-based classes, health and exercise, cooking classes, and project-based programming. Full-day classes begin after the first two weeks of the school year. Three-year-olds and PreK students may enroll for five full days. All students must be three by September 1 and must be completely potty trained.

Eileen Oxman has led the Oaks PreK class for more than 36 years. Nancy Healy leads the Willows Pre-K class. Kim Campbell, a Weekday School teacher of 20 years, leads the Sunflowers class (five days, three-year-olds). Kelly Collins leads the Sprouts (five days, three-year-olds) class. Judy Potter leads the Seedlings (three days, two years and seven months). Each one of them provides a loving, nurturing environment for our youngest students.
