The majority of the mission and outreach work of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church is funded by gifts to our annual Stewardship Campaign and the BMPC Foundation, but occasionally the congregation is offered opportunities to support additional mission work or special needs both through material donations or financial contributions.
Ham and Turkey Collection. During November, the Hunger Committee is accepting donations of frozen hams and turkeys. Donations may be placed in the freezers in the Ministries Center.
Non-Perishable Food Donations: Donations of canned goods are greatly appreciated (soups, peanut butter, stews, ravioli – high protein.) Food can be left in the collection baskets in the Narthex of the Sanctuary or Chapel. Donations are distributed to our local food cupboard and pantry partners.
Hunger Fund: The work of our BMPC Hunger Committee is supported entirely through donations to our Hunger Fund. Monies are used to finance our monthly Casserole Blitzes, which resulted in 130,000 casseroles being distributed to local feeding programs in 2017, as well as direct grants given to over 19 different local programs in Greater Philadelphia. To give to the Hunger Fund indicate “Hunger Fund” in the special offering box.
