Special Appeals & Offerings

The majority of the mission and outreach work of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church is funded by gifts to our annual Stewardship Campaign and the BMPC Foundation, but occasionally the congregation is offered opportunities to support additional mission work or special needs both through material donations or financial contributions.

Non-Perishable Food Donations: We are not collecting food donations at this time. Currently the buildings are closed, however, we are continuing to support the local organizations through monetary donations.

Hunger Fund: The work of our Hunger Committee is supported entirely through donations to our Hunger Fund, which supports our monthly casserole blitz events as well as all of the financial support distributed to more than 17 organizations in greater Philadelphia. To give to the Hunger Fund send a check with “Hunger Fund” in the memo line or donate online.

Shoe Collection for the Welcome Church

During the month of September, we are collecting new or gently used shoes (shoes that you would be willing to pass on to a friend) in support of The Welcome Church, a church without walls working directly in support of the unhoused community in Philadelphia.

The Welcome Church is working in partnership with Sanctuary Village to build a community of tiny houses on a city-owned property in Northeast Philadelphia, for people who are experiencing chronic street homelessness; the community is especially for people who are over the age of 64 and/or who have health conditions making them more vulnerable to a public health pandemic, such as COVID-19.  TinyHouseCommunity.org

New or gently used shoes may be dropped off in the donation bin located outside the main entrance of the Main Line Adult Day Center. Please be sure to donate PAIRS of shoes, and please tie shoelaces together.
