As the internal demolition and renovations to the Education Building get underway, the process has also begun to choose the finishes for those updated spaces. This week members of the Renovations Committee and staff met at the offices of our designers – Voith and McTavish Architects– to look together at their recommendations for new flooring, tile and even some of the installed tack boards in classrooms and hallways. VMA has done a wonderful job incorporating our values towards flexible spaces that make the most use of natural light; neutral and nature inspired tones and materials that minimize distractions; and environmentally friendly materials and design.
