As Presbyterians, we do mission in partnership, working with organizations in Greater Philadelphia and around the world. We seek to find a balance among relief work in moments of crisis, development work that helps to strengthen and transform the world, and advocacy work that seeks to raise awareness and effect change.
Mission
Mission and service shape the life and calling of the church. At Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, we seek to reflect our hopes for the coming Kingdom of God through our mission partnerships, hands-on service in our local community, education on how Christians should engage in the world around us, and acts of generosity and giving. At BMPC, we seek to be engaged in mission through opportunities for service, education, and advocacy. Throughout the year we welcome mission partners locally and from around the world to update us on their work and to help us better understand the ways they are working for transformation in the world. As a congregation, we also have regular opportunities and special events that allow our members and friends to connect with our mission partners and work side by side with one another in service.
The majority of the mission and outreach work of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church is funded by gifts to our annual Stewardship Campaign and the BMPC Foundation, but occasionally, the congregation is offered opportunities to support additional mission work or special needs both through material donations or financial contributions.
Our goal is to establish partnerships between Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church and our co-workers in the regions and countries where we are privileged to give financial support.
