Welcome

Calling Two New Associate Pastors

This is no “low Sunday” upcoming at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church!!

We have a Congregational Meeting at 11:00 a.m. after worship to call two new associate pastors. You should have received a mailing at home, but in case you did not, you can view the brochures for The Reverend Frank Pottorff who is being called as Associate Pastor for Congregational Life and Stewardship and The Reverend Mary K. Steege as Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care and Senior Adults.

More than a year ago, the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee began a nationwide search and committed to find the best candidates in the country for these two important pastoral positions. Their unanimous recommendation of Mary and Frank celebrates God’s guiding hand in the search process and our being led to these two outstanding, experienced and uniquely qualified candidates for each of these pastoral roles.

This is also the culmination of a strategic planning process that began long before the APNC began its work together. Under the leadership of Session and its appointment of the Staff Design Team we have engaged in a thorough evaluation of our whole staffing and organizational structure to fulfill our mission as a congregation. With the coming arrival of two pastors who join a great pastoral, mission and program team, we will be better equipped to lead the congregation in caring for one another, nurturing faithful discipleship and reaching out to a world in need.

I am excited and believe we are poised for growth and a great new chapter in the life of this historic congregation.

I’ll see you Sunday for the celebration!
