About The Middleton Counseling Center

We are a specialized ministry of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. We invite people of all and no faith backgrounds to enhance the connection between body, mind, and spirit. Whether you are new to counseling or have seen counselors in the past, we are here to offer a welcoming setting where you can access quality, affordable counseling regardless of your background or current circumstances.

Please explore our website to learn more about what we offer:

If you are concerned you cannot afford counseling, we may be able to help. We believe quality counseling should be available to all people and have a scholarship program to support clients. Click here to learn more about the scholarship opportunity and see if you qualify.

Please know that your privacy is one of our top priorities. All communications, conversations, and services provided by The Middleton Counseling Center are confidential.

History & Spirit

Through a generous endowment from the John Middleton Company in memory of Herbert H. Middleton, Jr., the Center opened in 1999 to welcome members of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church and the wider community. The Center is housed in the Converse House, the home built in 1912 for the Rev. Andrew Mutch and his family from Glasgow, Scotland. It is the spirit of home that has abided in Converse House for over a century, and the Middleton Center extends to all who enter its door. The Middleton Center provides a welcoming place to come as you are, to bring questions and concerns, joys as well as sorrows, a place to become more fully at home in ourselves, and to find peace in body, mind, and spirit.
